I believe that close communication with my customers is crucial to the success of any translation project. At the start of an assignment, to ensure effective collaboration and, ultimately, an excellent result, I may have some questions about the text, including:
- Who is the text aimed at?
- What is the actual purpose of the text?
- Are there any accompanying visuals?
- Do you have any specific vocabulary or terminology I should be aware of?
- Is there a corporate language?
- Will the text need to meet certain requirements and, if so, what are they?
